Passed away at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Thursday, June 16th 2022. Loving partner of Fang Tian. Cherished father of Isaac Da Silva Aboo, Sofia da Silva Aboo and Haowei Tian.

Aboo was a kind, supportive and loving father. He always cared about the people around him, which was apparent through his career as an exceptionally compassionate Doctor.

He will be remembered for his depth of wisdom, which he often shared with us through conversations about life, business and spirituality. Until his last moments, he stayed true to who he was. His strength and resilience were admirable, and that is something we will all take with us for the rest of our lives. He impacted numerous lives through his passion, and he will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Friday, June 24th, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Dr. Aboo was kind enough to accept my husband and myself as Patients when we relocated to Ottawa after graduating as mature students 13 years ago. We hope we showed him as much respect, care and consideration as he did for us during our visits while always having time to inquire about each other’s families and upcoming travel plans. Thank you Fang, Isaac, Sofia and Haowei for graciously sharing him with all of us. Our condolences to your family.

I am saddened with this news! As a patient of Dr. Aboo for the past 15 yrs…I respected him so much. So supportive, smart, kind and just a good person. I undergone 2 heart surgeries, breast cancer, and more and he was always a phone call away for me to guide me through my journey! I will miss you Dr. Aboo.

Dr. Aboo had been my mom and I's family doctor for many many years. I was born with Congenital Hydrocephalus and Chiari Malformation(both my conditions affect my brain and as a result have made me cognitively impaired), so Doctor Aboo new my medical history very very well, and also helped me to apply for Para Transpo making my travels and commutes so much easier during the winter months. The news of his sudden passing is nothing short of a complete shock to both my family and I this time. My family and I would truly like to take a moment and express ALL OF OUR THANKS AND GRATITUDE TOWARDS DR. ABOO AND ALL HIS HARD WORK AS OUR FAMILY PHYSICIAN. Rest In Peace Dr. Aboo

Just two days ago I was thinking of contacting Dr. Aboo, for an appointment. Just checked the mail this morning and got the letter about his passing. I am so shocked and sad. Could not believe he left us over a month and a half ago. He made our visits very easy, so helpful. He was our doctor for 12 years. My condolences to the family. We will miss him very much. May he rest in peace.

We are shocked and devastated upon hearing of Dr. Aboo's passing.

He was a kind and caring doctor who always took time to care for his patients. He was a gentle soul who will be greatly missed. It is difficult to truly express the sadness we feel.

Our deepest condolences to his family and staff. Our heart goes out to you.
