Passed away at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Thursday, June 16th 2022. Loving partner of Fang Tian. Cherished father of Isaac Da Silva Aboo, Sofia da Silva Aboo and Haowei Tian.
Aboo was a kind, supportive and loving father. He always cared about the people around him, which was apparent through his career as an exceptionally compassionate Doctor.
He will be remembered for his depth of wisdom, which he often shared with us through conversations about life, business and spirituality. Until his last moments, he stayed true to who he was. His strength and resilience were admirable, and that is something we will all take with us for the rest of our lives. He impacted numerous lives through his passion, and he will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Friday, June 24th, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Dr Aboo was my doctor since I arrived in Ottawa 15 years ago. I was happy that he accepted me as his patient because we had something in common: the Portuguese language. I only received the news today and I am really sad. I did not only lost my Family Doctor. He made me feel like being home in a forein land. He was a counselor and a friend, who will be dearly missed. The best doctor I have known here in Canada.

We received today the tragic news of his passing away by mail from his office. We were shocked to the bones. He was not only our family doctor but a close friend too. Our best time is our short visit to his office, where we discuss every issue under the sky. His tragic death made us feel like some part of our body had passed away with him. Why do good people die too soon? Hard to find compassionate people like Dr. Aboo. May you rest in peace
For over 18 years you took care of me as my physician. When I came to Canada, and was so ill, you went above and beyond to ensure I was taking care of myself, including my mental health.
