Suddenly, on April 17, 2019 due to an aneurysm.

Paul will be sadly missed by his loving wife Diane Rennie. Loving son of Hugh O'Connor and the late Marion O'Connor. Brother to Sharon, Jeffrey and the late Colleen and Mark O'Connor. Uncle to Erin, Grace, Alex, Sara and Ben. Great uncle to Eliza and Josie. Step-Father to Holden and Alistair Rennie.

Paul had a very rewarding career of over 35 years with the National Arts Centre in Ottawa and will be deeply missed by his union Brothers and Sisters with IATSE local 471. His passion for golf, led he and Diane on many trips to Cuba, one of which they have just returned from.

A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery & Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 1:00PM.

Paul’s family would like to encourage those who can, to donate blood, to help save lives.

Paul was a friend from high school. I ran into him a few years ago while in town and it was like we hadn't missed a beat. I'm so glad I got the chance to see and talk to him again. My sincerest condolences to his family. He will be missed by so many.

I will always remember Paul for his kindness and friendly ways, having worked with him for over twenty years. There are many highly professional people in our field with whom we would number Paul. His genuine kindness set him apart however. I am glad that he spent his last years with Diane and her children which made him the happiest I had ever seen him. He talked so happily of nothing else. It was nice to see such happiness returned to him as he so gladly gave of himself for so long.
