The CSIS National Memorial Cemetery is an outward appreciation of the service of the CSIS and its current and former employees.
The CSIS National Memorial Cemetery was created by the tri-partnership between CSIS, the Pillar Society and Beechwood Cemetery Foundation. Over the course of the next few years, the CSIS National Memorial Cemetery will be building a memorial monument that will honour all current and former CSIS employees. CSIS NMC will have significant enhancements including flagpoles, pathways and beautiful landscaping.
The CSIS National Memorial Cemetery will be a place of national commemoration for current and former CSIS employees and all Canadians.
Burial Options
To demonstrate their commitment to CSIS members, Beechwood dedicated a plot of land that will serve for generations.
Ground Interment
Families have the option of both casket burial and/or urn interment with up to eight urns per grave. Each location is designed to accommodate an upright monument with the member’s crest and surname prominently placed at the top. Monuments can be constructed in a variety of colours and designed to allow eight or more names, enabling multiple generations of casket or cremation burials in one location.
Columbarium Niches
Beechwood has added new niche structures within the CSIS National Memorial Cemetery. Contact us to learn the availability of the columbarium.
