In 2008, with the signing of an agreement between the Ottawa Muslim Association and The Beechwood Cemetery Foundation, Beechwood devoted Section 21 to meet the religious, cultural and interment needs of the Muslim community.
Beechwood can offer a full and proper Muslim burial and funeral. Our facilities are clean and available for families to come in and do a final washing and wrapping of their loved one. Simple caskets are available, along with white traditional cloth. For funeral needs, the Beechwood National Memorial Center has several large prayer rooms where a divider can be added.
