Unexpectedly on August 26, 2021, the love of Shelia’s life, Bruce, passed away at the age of 70. Bruce leaves behind son Trevor and stepchildren Doug (Carol), Wendy (Allen), and Glen (Martine). He was predeceased by his sons Ian and Rob. Brother to Leslie (Jim), Brenda (Paul), Janet, Joan, and Gord (Cathy). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Bruce loved to go fishing and spent hours in his gardens. Everyone in the neighbourhood loved his gardens and him.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to neighbours Nikki and Bob.

A Graveside Service will be held at the National Military Cemetery of Beechwood, 280 Beechwood Avenue on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making an in memoriam to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

Grandpa Bruce was one of the most genuine and caring people I’ve ever met. He was a great conversation, had plenty of stories, and was always supportive. While we didn’t get to visit nearly as much as I would have liked, I have many fond memories of learning how to fish, playing Mario together, walking the parks, and many other moments to celebrate. In our family trips as a teen and beyond I really enjoyed his advice. He will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers to him and Grandma.

I have not words but memories of Bruce and his love for fishing and gardening and his helping hand. And his love for being busy and pleasing others.

Grandpa Bruce was a very kind and caring grandfather. I have fond memories growing up and the times we've spent together whether fishing, going to parks, or enjoying the backyard and well kept garden. He will be deeply missed.
