Unexpectedly on August 26, 2021, the love of Shelia’s life, Bruce, passed away at the age of 70. Bruce leaves behind son Trevor and stepchildren Doug (Carol), Wendy (Allen), and Glen (Martine). He was predeceased by his sons Ian and Rob. Brother to Leslie (Jim), Brenda (Paul), Janet, Joan, and Gord (Cathy). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Bruce loved to go fishing and spent hours in his gardens. Everyone in the neighbourhood loved his gardens and him.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to neighbours Nikki and Bob.

A Graveside Service will be held at the National Military Cemetery of Beechwood, 280 Beechwood Avenue on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making an in memoriam to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

Uncle Bruce was a kind man with a good heart. He was a great listener and gave helpful advice when asked. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. I will miss you and will treasure my many memories of time spent with you!! xo

Grandpa Bruce was a wonderful man and grandfather. Always smiling and willing to have fun with his grandkids. I will always remember the fun times we had going mini putting and watching TV together when we would spend the night. He will be forever loved and forever missed.

Bruce was a kind and generous man. Always ready to help or give advice. He opened his home and his heart to Nathan when he went to university in Ottawa. He will be missed❤️

Aunt Sheila I am so sorry for the loss of your other half. You 2 were so cute together. It breaks my heart hearing of Uncle Bruce's passing. The kids and I are so grateful to have known Uncle Bruce. We loved the fishing expeditions, the day cruise, time spent together in Codrington, Ottawa and Kingston. You were such an amazing Great Uncle and Uncle. You had a HUGE green thumb, and were a very successful and passionate fisherman. Such talent, such patience, such great humor. We love you Uncle Bruce, you will truly be missed. Love The Adames family.

Grandpa Bruce was a kind man with a huge heart. And despite living far away, he always made it a priority to celebrate the big milestones in my life with me. He will be sorely missed and I will think of him fondly whenever I see a beautiful garden or a fresh catch.

A very sad time for our family. Bruce was everything to my mom. He was her rock and love of her life. He was a loving husband, grandfather and great grandfather. Our family has great memories of Bruce fishing, working in his gardens and spending time with his grandchildren. Not only did Bruce serve his country, but was a kind caring man to everyone.
Bruce will be missed by all.
