Will always be grateful and honoured to have met you and your beautiful family during my time living in Petawawa. I will always be thankful for the odd times we got to chat in passing, at some of the family events around base.
My heart goes out to your beautiful family and I hope that you’re finally at peace.

May you rest easy, you will be sorely missed by so many.

Rest easy Solider, your watch is over.

For Ritika and the Family -
I write to express to you and your family the sincere condolences of the Patricias on the passing of WO Sanjeev Chauhan. Sanjeev was obviously very well liked in the army units and with the people he worked with, both in the reserves and in the regular army - the many tributes here clearly say that. Canada and the Regiment remember Sanjeev's service, and the family should be proud of that service. Much of his time away on deployment was in helping pursue the goals of peace and security. His name will be read in this year’s list of the lost when we read that list out next November, in the Scared Space in Beechwood, the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa. His name will also be listed in the 2020 edition of the Patrician’s Last Post section.

Thank you for obviously supporting Sanjeev throughout his service. We are glad that he had a vibrant family and, we hope, a good life outside of the army.

Thank you all.

Brigadier-General Vince Kennedy (Retired)
Colonel of the Regiment
Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry
