I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Dan. Dan’s quick wit shone when he entered heated debates amounts the senior troops, leaving most of us with sore sides from laughing. We went our separate ways in the force but I was happy to run into the big Navy during one of my tours in Afghanistan. After making fun at each others expense we wish each other a safe deployment. It was the last time that I saw Dan but not the last time I thought about him. He’s already missed.

Danny,
I grew up with you and I am devastated. While I am trying my best to rationalize this, I can't.
You were always quick to find humor in a situation and you had an easy going way about you - something we could all learn from.
When we were young we went to church together, your parents drove a Suburban - a garguatuan creation which still may be the largest civilian vehicle on the road.
You, Henry an Eddie were a tour de force. Full of exuberance, laughter and energy.
Now that I have boys of my own, I will never forget that Suburban and those three boys.
Danny - God bless you and your family.

RIP my Brother. My condolences to all.
Dan, it seems like it was just yesterday when you and Insun visited Korea and you were telling us how wonderful your visit to Busan was. Lily and I are still shocked to hear this very sad news and will miss you dearly. I will cherish our memories in Ottawa and onboard the CALGARY. You were an exceptional officer and a friend and I am honored to have served with you. My sincerest apologies for not being there to say goodbye. RIP brother.
My deepest condolences to Insun and Dan’s family.
