Dan and I shared a lot of humour and wit during his tenure as a Loyal Eddie. We also saw each other in the halls at NAIT. It is no surprise his character, wit, and intelligence served him well as a naval officer just as it had in the infantry. We were all shocked at the news of his passing.

Danny,
It is hard to believe you are gone. My memories of you are when I was very young but you were always so fun and kind to us young ones. I only wish I could have gotten to know you better as adults. You will be sorely missed. The world was a better place because you were in it. Rest in peace Danny. You are missed and loved.

I'm shocked! My sincere sympathies. Dan and I sailed together onboard CALGARY in 2008... such a nice guy. RIP Dan.
