It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved wife, Susan Colleen Giles-Thompson. Susan leaves behind her much-loved stepdaughters Stephanie and Laura. She was a cherished grandmother (Oma) to Malik, Faris, Zain, and Ella. She is also survived by her mother, Marilyn (Giles) Devlin; her brothers, Greg Giles and Brian Giles (Joanne); her niece, Konstance; her nephews, Logan and Mitchell; and her stepbrothers, Eric Devlin Jr. (Sandra) and Terry Devlin (Tammy). Susan was predeceased by her father, Bernard; her sister, Catherine; and her stepfather, Eric Devlin.
Susan was born in Smiths Falls, Ontario, and was a graduate of Carleton University. In Ottawa, she worked in the retail sporting industry, printing industry, and HR industry.
Over the years, Susan built many enduring friendships in all aspects of her life. She was loyal and always provided help and support to those around her. She was beautiful, sincere, gracious, and a poised individual who would light any room.
Her family, friends, and colleagues will miss her dearly. We know she is now in good hands and will be watching over us.
Rest in Peace, my Love…. Jeff

My deepest sympathies to all Susan's family and friends especially her Mom Marilyn. Susan was respected by so many classmates for a very long time. Her objective and on point opinions as well as how she just stayed herself always made me think very highly of her. She gave pointers and help when my son entered university in business. She was the person who was kind to all but would speak up when needed. I am sad the work loses people that are just good like she was to so many.

My condolences to Susan's family. So sorry for your loss.
Susan was always a good friend, even after the Youth Parliament. She helped me with employment and encouraged me in a personal struggle I was facing.
I know that many will miss her and are sorry she has left us so soon. She was an excellent example for others and I have been thinking of her fondly since I heard the bad news. So many precious memories.
