Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her home at Garry J. Armstrong LTC, Ottawa, on the morning of Wednesday August 24, 2022, at the age of 91.
Predeceased by her loving husband, Norman in 2013. Mary leaves behind her adoring sons Glen (Louise) of North Vancouver and Keith (Joan) of Ottawa and grandson Blake (Ola) of North Vancouver.
Predeceased by her brother Alex Black (Dorothy). Aunt of Douglas and Robert of Toronto. Cousin of Barry Gregory of Toronto. Godmother to Joan MacKenzie of Mesa, Arizona.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON), the grounds of which provided the family with a serene oasis amidst the bustling city. There will be no public visitation or service.
For expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parkinsons Society of Canada may be made through Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services website or directly.
The family would like to give special thanks to Em Orocio for providing companionship, and the staff on the 5th floor of Garry J. Armstrong LTC, Ottawa, for their kind and compassionate care.
