Franciszka (“Lila”) Proszanski, of Ottawa, passed away on June 7, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Lila is lovingly remembered by her husband, Aleksander (“Leszek”); her daughters, Ewa (Bob) and Helena (Tom); her grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler), Alexandra, Adam, and Julia (Jesse); her great-grandchildren, Spencer and Grayson; her sister, Zuza, and nieces and nephew.
Lila was born on May 11, 1934 in Warsaw, Poland. On December 26, 1955, Lila married Leszek in England. After the birth of their first daughter, they moved to Canada, and over the course of their 63-year marriage, devoted their lives to the three generations of children that followed.
Lila’s legacy, greatest accomplishment in life, and how she will be remembered, is by the love that she shared with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery, and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Wednesday, June 12, from 7:00 to 9:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Saint Hyacinth Roman Catholic Church, 201 Lebreton St. N., Ottawa on Monday, June 17, at 10:00AM.
