Peacefully in Ottawa on April 6, 2022 in her 92nd year. Joy Anne Butler, beloved wife of William John Curran. Beloved daughter of the late Charles Butler and the late Sara Kealey. Dear sister of the late Anthony Butler, Q.C. (late Eleanor) and the late Mary Jean Reid (late Warren). Dearly loved aunt of Kathryn (Yvon Malette), Jennifer and Charles Butler and Vaughan Reid. Dear sister-in-law of Jean Knickle, Rebecca McGuire, Loretta Bennett, and the late Catherine Nicholson of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dear great-aunt of David Malette (Janique) and Marie-Ève Reid. A celebration of Joy’s life will take place in the spring. Interment at Notre-Dame Cemetery, Ottawa. Our family would like to express sincere and heartfelt thanks to the caring nursing staff and to Dr. Ruth Farey at Riverpath Retirement Residence for their compassionate care of Joy.
