Peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Frances "Betty" Boucher for 62 years. Loving father of David (Nancy) and Mark. Son of the late Emile and Lucienne Boucher. Brother to his devoted sister Thérèse (Philippe) and their departed siblings Aurèle, Roland, Raymond and Jeannette. We the family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre for always giving Leo the best possible care at all times during his residency there. Even during the added ordeal of a pandemic, their dedication and devotion to him and other residents never wavered. For friends who may wish to pay tribute to Leo, we would like to suggest that you consider making a donation to this wonderful institution. What can truly be said about Leo is that he always did everything that could possibly be done by a husband for his wife, a father for his children, and a friend for his friends. He lived in the manner of one who is faithful to Christ and we are grateful that death came peacefully to him like sleep at the end of a long day.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave.) at 1pm. Due to COVID restrictions, please RSVP at leoboucherserviceatbeechwood@gmail.com.

Every October on a particular day I would say to Leo: “Isn’t this the anniversary of the day you shot a wolf?” and Leo would be surprised and say “How do you know that!?” He had told me the story one time and I had put a yearly reminder in my calendar. It was a Leo kind of joke. Leo was a wonderful colleague and a great neighbour. Sadly, I won’t be able to make the memorial but Leo and Betty will be in my thoughts.
Thanks for arranging this. Leo is much missed!
