Is now reunited with her husband George, her grandson Robbie, her siblings Jourieh (Aboud), Mike (Rizk), Elias (Rizk), Samira (Malouf) and her parents Saloum and Zaheeya Rizk, all in heaven.
She peacefully departed us of natural causes in the early morning of September 1, 2021, after a long and happy life at the blessed age of 97.
Hafiza will be fondly remembered by her 6 children, Helene, Margo (John Al Sabeh), Laudy (Mounir Saab), Elie, Leina (Andre Abou-Eid), and Tony (Pauline).
She will remain in the hearts of her 12 grandchildren and gems of her life, Sam, Georgette, Rema, Linda, Joseph, Amanda, Jessica, John, Alicia, Melissa, Mariah and Celina.
Hafiza was blessed with 18 beautiful great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by her many loved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday September 3, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 N River Rd, Ottawa ON K1K 3W5 from 10:30 am followed by funeral service at 11:00 am.
Interment Beechwood Cemetery.

Hafiza fled the war torn country of Lebanon in 1976 with her husband and 3 of her children to join her other children, who had immigrated previously, in Ottawa, Canada.She lived a modest and simple life and took pride in her devoted children and their families.Salamani Sunday lunches were a must for Hafiza, keeping the family traditions alive. Fortunately, she was blessed to witness the many achievements, life milestones and celebrations of many of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout her life. Hafiza was lucky to have her children, Elie and Helene, live with her, care for her, and give her drive and will to live the long life she was granted. She will be remembered for her witty personality, sense of humor, amazing food and singing.
