A Father and Mother We Were So Blessed to Have
Our dear parents, Dr. Khalil Rasuli and Mrs. Batool Azami passed away peacefully at home days apart, surrounded by their loving 4 children after spending the last 75 years together. Through these years, they have had many laughs, many great memories, and have blessed us with the best possible parents we could ever ask for.
From a young age, our parents were determined to provide their four children with the best opportunities possible and shower us with love and encouragement to surpass all expectations.
Our hardworking father has a long history of academic achievements including separate doctorates in medicine, surgery and pharmaceutical science. He even delved into obtaining a law degree but was stopped due to University regulations. More impressing, he managed to work at two different hospitals at the same time, in addition to taking emergency calls at nights. Despite his many studies and careers, he always made his family a priority and ensured the smooth running of his family’s many properties and business ventures. His strong academic background inspired his four children to pursue successful careers in science, engineering, and medicine.
Our beautiful mother complemented our father’s ambitions by caring for us and being our tutor for after school homework and ensuring we had the best possible opportunities for success. She was also an extremely talented cook, which of course, her family benefited from! She will be remembered for her many talents, her integrity, her love of fashion, her extreme generosity and for her boundless love for her family.
Truly, we have been so blessed to have such incredible parents, and although they are no longer amongst us, we vow to carry on the traditions they taught us, the dedication they proved to us, and the love they gave us.
