To Rena, Heather, Robert, Janice, David, Family Members and Friends,
The members of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers Association were saddened by the news of Leith's passing. One of our members recalls working with Leith, when he was posted to Bermuda, 1973-1975. Leith was a MWO Technician working in Operations. Leith's promotions in the Canadian Forces, all the way up to the highest non-commissioned rank of Chief Warrant Officer, were commendable. His combined military and civilian service career that spanned over six decades was indeed very impressive. All those who served with Leith will treasure the memories of the enjoyable times that were spent together. Please know that as members of your extended military family, we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

ARNIE MURRAY

My deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers to the Bottrill Family in the loss of your loved one Leith. I knew Leith during my many years of military and public service career. He was always so kind and fatherly like to young soldiers and made it a priority to make them feel as part of “the team”. He had a great sense of humour and loved a good joke. He was the Master of Ceremonies at my first “Screeching In “ in St Johns, NFLD. I have always loved seafood but I have to admit that I never imagined myself kissing a codfish. It was part of the ceremony and Leith took great pride in watching me squirm. All was successful and we joked and laughed about it later. We have met socially and at work over the past several years. I will always consider myself lucky to have had him as a friend. He is now at peace in his heavenly home, no pain, no sorrow and I know he would want you to think only of life’s “happy times” you had together as a family. May GOD bless each one of you in the earthly time you spend together in the future. Blessings, Arnie
