It is with great sadness that the Chow/Gagnon family is announcing the passing of Mary Chow on Thursday November 28th at the age of 95. She was known fondly to many friends at the nursing home as “Mamma” Chow. Her family was with her when she passed away peacefully. She was predeceased by husband Soon Loy (Alex) Chow. Mary is survived by her daughter Mei-Lin Chow, son-in law Paul Gagnon, and granddaughter Maria-Alexandra Gagnon whom she adored and treasured. The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff at Garry J Armstrong for making Mary’s stay comfortable. Friends and family may pay respects at Beechwood Funeral Home at 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa on Thursday December 5th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and Friday December 6th from 10:00am to 11:00am. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, followed by interment and off-site reception. In memory of Mary, donations to the Friends and Family Council of Garry J. Armstrong Home (to support resident activities) would be appreciated.

You will miss her especially because you have spent so much time together over the last years. You all gave your all and I know that it meant more to your mom than can be put into words, After a hard working life she was able to sit back and enjoy and appreciate her daughter, her granddaughter and her tall handsome strong man Paul. You all did the very best you could and she loved you for it. She goes off on her journey with a peaceful heart. Well done all. She will be in your hearts as You All are in hers. with love. tess
