John Lipsett of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Monday March 11, 2019 at the age of 80. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lipsett (nee Kaye). Dear son of late Florence Keeling. Loving father of Katherine Joy (late Thomas Joy) and Laura Burchill (Thomas). Cherished Grandfather of Kirstyn and Deanna. John will be fondly remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sincere thank you to the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre and the Palliative Care Unit at the Ottawa General. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Wednesday, April 24 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces.

Condolences to the Lipsett family. You should know that John was an inspiration to many, particularly in recent years to those who suffered the impact of a stroke.
