Retired member of the R.C.M.P
Passed away peacefully on April 30, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Jan was born ono March 22, 1950 in Ottawa. Devoted wife of 49 years to Brian Stanley, loving mother to Blake (Sherri), Sarah (Mark) Cairns, and proud grandmother to Aaliyah, Ashlin Stanley and Isla Carins. Predeceased by her parents Douglas and Bertha (nee Caron) Lee and her sister Donna Jolicoeur. She will be missed by her siblings Gail (Charlie) Dewer, Gary (Barbara) Lee, Patsy Lee and Gibby Lee. She was caring and giving, someone who would do without, so others wouldn't. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and laughter. She was a mother first but also a very proud member of the R.C.M.P. Special thanks to the staff at Carlingview Manor and the Ottawa Civic Hospital. A Graveside Service for both Brian and Janet will be held in the National Memoreial Cemeterty of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police - Section 114 - Beechwood Cemetery

Blake and Sarah, I am so very sorry not only for your mom , but just learned about your dad as well. I can only hope that the love of your spouses and children can help you both get through this. Your parents were good people and Aunt Donna and I had lots of laughs and some good trips with them. You both are in my thoughts
