He will be sadly missed by his wife Carolyn (Sims), and daughter Kylie (Brownlee). Loving uncle to Amelie and Daniel Drouin, and beloved sister-in-law Lisa Drouin (Marc Drouin).  He will be missed by many friends and extended family, too many to name. You will always be in our hearts. He was born to parents John Keith Brownlee and Margot Heather Brownlee in on April 27th, 1959, in Ottawa, Ontario.

Gord loved to travel, ride motorcycles and was an avid skier. When he had down time, he enjoyed watching old black and white movies, reading, watching travel videos, and grabbing a drink with friends.

We wish to thank Gord’s care team. Dr. Bowles, Dr. Asmis, Dr. Whetter and Dr. Brodeur, who all went above and beyond to ensure Gord received exceptional care during his illness. We especially want to thank Benny De Guzman for the in-house care he gave Gord – you are a marvel. Your presence was a life line during such a difficult time and we cannot thank you enough.

Our thoughts go out to you Carolyn and Kylie. We enjoyed lovely dinners together as neighbours on Ivy Cresent when the girls were little. Gord was a great dad and a fun person to be with, it was a pleasure spending time with all of you. We are very sorry for this huge loss he leaves in your lives.

Cousin Gord,
You will be greatly missed!
You were always a strong example of life experience to look up to. Your upbeat attitude and wisdom were always refreshing. Thank you for a life well lived and all the advice along the way.
Thank you for marrying a wonderful lady and raising a lovely daughter. I pray God gives Carolyn and Kylie comfort and peace in this time of loss.
For a life too soon taken, I am glad for the time we've had!

I first met Gord when I started dating his Uncle Peter in 1969. Gord was 10 years old & he really wanted to be taller than his Uncle. Peter was not a tall man but Gord measured himself every Sunday at the Family's home on Ruskin Street. When Peter & I returned from BC in 1977 Gord had accomplished that & he kept on growing.
Gord met the love of his life Carolyn They were wed & had a daughter Kylie. She has grown into a beautiful young lady that Gord cherished.
The day Gord told us he had Cancer was a very sad & teary eyed day. I prayed every day that he would beat it but he has succumbed to that awful disease.
Rest in peace Gord, have a great Family reunion in the sky, give them all a hug from us

Dear Carolyn & Kylee,
We clearly remember the last time we saw you and Gordon at John's memorial in Lucknow. I wish we had been able to accept your invitation to visit in Ottawa but alas, it could not be.
Its easy to see that all the sincere tributes to Gordon today were well deserved. We hope your memories of all the happy times you shared will ease the pain and sorrow of Gord's passing. So sorry that he was taken so soon. He seemed like a great guy!
With Love to you both,
Murray & Elinor
