Peacefully, in hospital after a brief illness, on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Donald Thorne and dear mother of Brenda (Andrew #1) and Darlene (Andrew #2). Special Grandma to Ellie, Tommy, grandpuppy Sheldon (aka little peanut) and newest grandpuppy Maggie. She will be missed by many family and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Peter A. Souchen. Friends and family are invited to visit the Sacred Space at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave., on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. with a Graveside Service and Interment with Dad at the National Military Section of Beechwood Cemetery immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ottawa Humane Society.

I am so sorry for the death of your Mother. I will miss her so much. I live in Royal Gardens in Peterborough . I am so sorry I will not be able to go for the funeral as it is too much of a drive for me, I am so sorry about that . I will send a donation to the alzheimer society in her memory. My son has alzheimer, so I give to them constantly.
