It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of David Andrew Stockwell Fraser, age 83, on Friday, May 20th, 2022 in Perth, Ontario. Beloved husband of Bernice Edith Fraser of Perth, Ontario. Dear father of James Davies Fraser, Jennifer Vivian Froggatt (née Fraser) and Andrew John Fraser (mother Helen Davies, deceased September 2018), and stepfather to Spencer Scott. Known as Papa Bear to his 21 grandchildren ranging in age from 8 to 26.
David’s life was a never-ending adventure that started in Iroquois, blossomed in Peterborough and was documented in Perth. Along the way he served Canada in the reserves, was a favourite teacher to countless Sir Sanford Fleming College students, charmed patrons of the Peterborough and Bancroft Theatre Guilds, traveled almost every inch of the US and Canada with his true love Bernice (Bunny), became an accomplished author and family historian, and was generous to a fault.
David will be laid to rest in Beechwood Cemetery surrounded by family.
