Passed away peacefully at home at the age of 63 on December 4th 2020. Predeceased by his wife Renée, as well as his parents, Alexander and Edith. David will be remembered for his kind nature and putting others before all else. Whether it was throughout his fulfilling career of over 30 years at Finance and the Treasury Board, being a best friend and go-to handyman to all his friends and neighbours, or caring for his family, he was devoted to giving of himself and bringing joy to those around him. David leaves behind his adoring daughter, Alexandra, his sister Debbie (Todd), his mother-in-law Pat (Dewar), nieces and nephews (Briena, Brooke, and Danny), and many loving friends. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, a private service will be held for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a cause near and dear to David, the Canadian Cancer Society.

We will deeply miss David's kindness and thoughtfulness. Weather had a large circle of friends because he was a best friend to all. He was always willing to pitch in, to give his time and expertise, and do it always with a smile, a laugh or a humourous quip. We loved David and will always have him in our hearts.

Dave was a true man. Helping others thruout his life and in recent years taking care of his dear wife Renee through her illness and then his mom and dad. His thoughts and heart was alway around Renee, his daughter Al and his friends. I am truly honored to have been able to call Dave my friend. Goodbye old friend.

David was kind-hearted and a true gentleman. His love for his family and friends was so clear. I had the pleasure of meeting him many years ago at work, and I was fortunate enough to call him an office-mate during his last years before retirement. I have missed our chats; he always had the best stories. My condolences go out to his daughter and the whole family. He will be missed.
I was saddened to hear of Dave's passing. His smile was the same as it was in our days at Laurentian, and from what I have been reading about him, it still came to him easily. My sincere condolences to his family and the many friends that he made, and kept, for so many years. Rest well Dave.
