Succumbed to heart failure after a long struggle with poems disease, a rare and complex blood cancer, on February 13, 2021.
He leaves to mourn his wife Rosemary and the two daughters he adored, Alexis and Brianna. Lt. Colonel Timothy Orange was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Joycelyn (nee Urquhart) Orange. Tim has now joined them and will enjoy their company at their place of rest.
Sister Virginia, brother Tom and partner Rose Austin, sisters Cynthia and brother-in-law Joseph Fardell, sister Maryanne and brother-in-law Gary Ross, know his stories will never rest until heaven‘s end.
Tim was a proud and devoted soldier in the Canadian Army during his 42 year career. Tim served with the Argylls and Sutherland Regiment, 2PPCLI, 3 Commando The Airborne Regiment, The Royal Regiment of Canada, The Lorne Scots, as their commanding officer and finished his career with the Royal Canadian Regiment.
He served all across the globe for Canada and regaled us with stories of serving during the Montreal Olympics, overseas tours in Cyprus, Bosnia and Afghanistan.
He adored his daughters Alexis and Brianna. Nothing was more important to him than knowing he set them up to launch careers in professional ballet and in the dramatic arts should they so choose. In surviving this complex disease he taught all who knew him how to truly give your all to every task at hand.
We will miss him with the same vigour.
Rest now dear soldier. We’ll miss you and will be watching for you. Winds 5. Carry on. Booyah.

Tim was a great family friend from the time that we met 30+ years ago. What started as a professional relationship when Tim became my self-appointed LnO quickly shifted to a lifelong friendship. Tim visited us at each subsequent duty station until I retired. We enjoyed the sun and surf of Southern California, took alligator tours in Louisiana, and toured the mansions of Newport. Tim and I attended the Military Command and Staff Course together and challenged each other throughout it and our friendship. We shot sniper matches beside each other Tim was the much better shot) and he taught me to downhill ski. He and Rosemary are , and will always be, part of our family. We love you, and will miss you. “Winds 5, Jumper!” “Fair winds and following seas.” Semper Fidelis!

You brought great joy to my friend Rosemary, and you loved her truly. You gave her the most beautiful daughters, allowing her to be the mother she always wanted to be. You have left us all too soon but have left a stamp on our hearts. You will be sadly missed but always remembered. Vale Tim with much love!
