(version française ci-bas) In Ottawa, Ontario following a courageous struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Bob passed away on March 31, 2021 at the Montfort Long Term Care residence (MLTC) in the presence of his devoted wife, Suzanne (née Collins). He leaves a daughter Tammy (Joe) and grandchildren Benjamin and  Sarah.

Also left to mourn are Suzanne's children Michel Leblanc (Isabelle), their children Camille (Matt Black) and Kaya; Julie Leblanc (Andrew Hewson), their daughter Emilie, Jérémie Hewson (Stéphanie) and their daughter Charlotte, Alisha Hewson (Eric Emond) and their daughter Joelle. Loving brother of Ron (Gisèle), sister Pauline (Roy Brown). Brother-in-law to the Collins family, Louise (Germain Tassé), Denise (Catherine Henderson), Joanne (Pierre Saumure), Christine (Pierre Bergeron) and Kathleen (Rick Goodings). He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Barry and Judy Nesbitt and David and Rachel Felteau. Predeceased by his parents Delmer “Bud” Simpson and Nöella (née Paul)                                                                

The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Schlossmacher, neurologist, and Dr. Jacques Dostaler, residence physician, as well as the entire staff of the Montfort LTC residence for their exceptional and compassionate care.

A livestreamed Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 17, 2021 in the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre at 1 p.m. – please register with the link provided above.

ll laisse dans le deuil sa fille Tammy  (Joe)  et  ses petits-enfants Benjamin et  Sarah. Bob laisse aussi les enfants de Suzanne; Michel Leblanc (Isabelle), leurs enfants Camille (Matt Black) et Kaya; Julie Leblanc (Andrew Hewson), leur fille Emilie, Jérémie Hewson (Stéphanie) et leur fille Charlotte, Alisha Hewson (Eric Emond) et leur fille Joelle. Frère bien-aimé de Ron (Gisèle) et Pauline (Roy Brown). Beau-frère de la famille Collins, Louise (Germain Tassé), Denise (Catherine Henderson), Joanne (Pierre Saumure), Christine (Pierre Bergeron) et Kathleen (Rick Goodings). Il laisse également dans le deuil plusieurs neveux,  nièces, cousins, cousines ainsi que de bons amis Barry et Judy  Nesbitt  et  David et  Rachel Felteau. La famille désire remercier Dr. Michael Schlossmacher, neurologue, ainsi que Dr. Jacques Dostaler et le personnel du Centre de santé de longue durée Montfort (CSLD) pour les bons soins prodigués  et  leur dévouement exceptionnel.

Un service commémoratif sera diffusé le samedi 17 avril en l’espace sacrée du Centre commémoratif National Beechwood  à 13h. SVP enregistrer votre présence virtuelle avec le lien ci-haut.
