This most dearly loved husband of Linda, devoted father of Julia, and adoring grandfather of Adam and Ayla, passed away on February 18, 2020. Bob also leaves behind his brother-in-law Rick Beardsley, and nieces Karen and Kirstin Beardsley (Lee Sawchuk). Born in Wales, he emigrated to Canada in 1967. In 1969 he met his wife Linda when both were teachers. They married in 1970 and happily welcomed their daughter Julia in 1978. His career in education spanned 35 years, first as a teacher of mathematics and computers, and later as a vice-principal and principal. In retirement, Bob loved to travel with Linda, following itineraries he delighted in preparing. He also enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave.), on March 5th, from 2 to 5 pm, with words of remembrance at 3pm. Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
