Mike did a truly amazing thing by creating a space where oddballs like myself can come together, learn & share. In a world that seems intent on segregation & division the forum is a shining light. I am deeply saddened at Mike's death & as someone who has recently lost a father my thoughts are with his family, sending a ton of love your way. Remember the best bits in Mike are the best bits in you, build on that. xxx

Mike and his excellent forum had a huge impact on my life and gave me a new career after being stuck in a rut for many years. He was generous with his advice when I started my business, and enthusiastic in his support - bouying me up to take a big leap into the unknown. That was a big deal to me, and I know of countless other similar tales. Lovely man, wo will be sorely missed. Xxxx

Thank you Mike. Not sure if or how you ever knew what the forum would mean to the world when you started it. But it’s impact is bigger than you probably knew entirely. May the site and your name live on

Thank you for all you did for the Modular Community. Without you my life wouldn't be as rich and as exciting as it is. We only spoke briefly but the impact you had on my life is profound.

Mr. McGrath was a ??????.
To his Family, and to our Tribe. He gave us a ?????.
He fostered an environment of playful learning and discovering one's potential.
His Vision, MuffWiggler (muffwiggler.com), a platform for sharing and socializing in the truest, most honest sense – became the seed of knowledge, enthusiasm, kindness – and how it blossomed!
A school, a refuge and a monumental archive – ?? laid the foundation!
We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss.
Our Condolences to the Family and Friends.
M. (Vienna, Austria)
My condolences for your loss, from the bottom of my heart.
As part of the large community of music electronics enthusiasts Mike created I can say that Mike made a difference in this world. He brought together thousands of people from all around the globe, and he did it with much love, serenity and sympathy. It is simply unmeasurable what he did for this community and for all the thousands of individuals, some of them with smaller or bigger businesses as myself, who all benefit from that.
Even though we once planned to meet in person it wasn't to be. Nonetheless from all out conversations I was simply impressed by the insight, the modesty and the kindness he always showed
He will be missed.
