Maxime Tack Nang Ong Tone passed peacefully on July 5, 2022 at the age of 91 at the Ottawa General Hospital with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Anne Marie for more than 68 years. Proud father of Suzy (Guy), Lindsay (Gloria), Christian (Madeleine), Bernard (Christine) and Michel (Hannah). Dearest grandfather to Stephan (Celina), Christopher (Stephanie), Jennifer (Nasser), Melissa (Anthony), Cheryl (Andrew), Cathy (Nick), Grace, Jade, Alex, Amanda, Wendy (Christian), Dorothy (Arnaud), Jerry (Caroline), Cindy (Gus), Great grand father to Nathan, Zoe, Luc, Julien, Olivier, Sophie, Emilio, Damian, Benneth, Cora, Alexandre, Ethan, Chloe, Clara, Nigel, Lyanna, and Aiden.
Maxime lived a fulfilling life, he was a very sociable person and loved to entertain. Growing up, we always had huge dinner parties with friends and relatives for every occasion like birthdays, graduations, engagements, weddings and anniversaries. He made friends easily wherever he went. He was also very active in the church community and was a deacon at the Cathedral St. Louis in Mauritius. He was also very instrumental in acquiring a plot of land to establish a senior recreational centre (Fook Look Soo) in Mauritius.
A special thank you to Peter Fan as a friend and his spiritual support, Dr Albert Yeung Lai Wah as a friend and his medical support and Laura Gagnon, his support worker who looked after him so well in his later days.
Friends and family are invited to visit at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, on Friday, July 8, from 5 to 8:00PM and Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sheng Shen Chinese Catholic Community, 1187 Michael Street North, Ottawa on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 12noon. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
At the request of the family, please no hugging or handshaking. The family would appreciate for masks to be worn and the use of hand sanitizer.

My deepest condolences to Ong Tone's family and friends. We will remember him fondly for his gracious and gentlemen manner, generosity, and great dance steps. He was well respected. I wished I could be there to say my last goodbye but I am so sorry I can't make it because I moved to Burlington last year. My heart will be there and singing all the hymns with the choir group.
I know he is in the loving arms of the Lord.
Please take care, God bless.
