My condolences to Robert's Family and friends. He was a wonderful person, full of valuable insights and great ideas. I greatly enjoyed our many discussions about Canada's energy future, and how to model systems changes. He will be missed!

Dear Joan
You have been in my thoughts these last couple of weeks and I am sending you and your family some “tele “ hugs.
Rob seemed to me to be such a Renaissance Man who seemed to immerse himself in so many intellectual, cultural, and culinary adventures. I am sure that all of those amazing adventures you shared together, ( your life never looked boring from my perspective) as well as the amazing family you created, will support you in the coming weeks.
Love Penny

My deepest condolences to Joan and the family. Rob was very kind and sharing of his time and knowledge. He was instrumental in supporting the Canadian Association for the Club of Rome and its mission for decades. Members of CACOR have all benefited from his work.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Rob for many years though CACOR and the Club of Rome. His insights and work on modelling provided many with clarity on how the global and more local system works. He was particularly respected for his ability to show alternative futures and how todays decisions really matter. He will be missed.

Joan to you, your sons and their families. To Pete and Barb. It was quieting for Lynn and I to visit Rob and have that time with him. Like everyone we are at a loss. We pray that you find the peace needed at this difficult time.

We Thought of You Today

We thought of you today
But that is nothing new
We thought of you yesterday
And will tomorrow too.

We think of you in silence
And make no outward show.
For what it meant to lose you
Only those who love you know.

Remembering you is easy
We do it every day.
It's the heartache of losing you
That will never go away.
