It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don Seale (retired Major RCAF), on September 21, 2021, at the age of 86. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family, after a brief stay at the Perley and Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre in Ottawa. Left to mourn his loss are his wife Juanita, and children Mark (Judi) of New York and Lori of Ottawa.

Proud grandfather to Duncan and Lindsay of New York, as well as, Dyland and Kirkland of Ottawa.

Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, he is predeceased by his parents Alice (Dowridge) and Joseph Seale of Barbados. He is also predeceased by his siblings Eleanor, John (Verna), Winnifred (Hilton), Peter (Carole), George and Lionel.

Don is survived by his brother Charles (Linda), sister-in-law Alice, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, throughout Canada and the United States.

Sincerest thank you to the incredible staff and volunteers at the Perley and Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre for their excellent care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Don Seale may be made to the Perley and Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.

A private family service will be held at the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood in Ottawa, at a later date.

I remember when our sons played hockey in that cold arena at rockcliffe . It was apparently ‘natural’ ice. I also knew you at ndmc - with respect and condolences.

The Yorke family

So sorry for your loss. It is an honour to have met your father and I am grateful he let me sit next to him while watching our sons play hockey. Mr. Seale's dedication to his family went beyond measure.
