Phyllis, 76, of Brighton, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Saturday, 18 September, 2021 at the QCH Trenton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late John Smith Trueman and Ruby Udella Trueman of Truemanville, Nova Scotia.
She first attended grade school in Truemanville before heading to Amherst Regional High School and ultimately Oulten’s Business College in Moncton, NB, lending to a professional administrative career with the RCMP.
She is survived by her loving husband Lindsay Bowles of Brighton, ON; two sons Steven (Anastasia) Bowles of Ashton Station, ON; and Gregory (Tracy) Bowles of Ottawa, ON; three sisters Jean Cameron of Amherst, NS; Carol (Leonard) Bzdel of Saskatoon, SK; Dorothy (Daniel) Smith of Truemanville, NS; brother Raymond (Jane) Trueman of Truemanville, NS; two brothers-in-law Karleton (Carol) Bowles of Russell, ON; and Curtis Bowles of Renfrew, ON; sister-in-law Susan McCulloch of Surrey, BC; seven grandchildren: Matthias, Nathanael, Diana, Cecilia, Emily, James and John-Paul; and a blessing of dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents as well her in-laws Clyde and Marjorie (Crowell) Bowles of Amherst, NS; brother-in-law David Richard Bowles; and, sister-in-law Barbara (Beal) Trueman.
Interment, graveside service including livestream will take place in the Beechwood National Military Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON, on Friday, 08 October 2021 at 12h00.
