Due to the current situation with COVID-19, Claude's Memorial Service will be private. Attendance will be restricted to a limited number of individuals, personally invited by the family. If you have any questions, please call 613-741-9530.

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Claude at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Monique Poulin (née Groulx) of 40 years. Predeceased by his father Nelson and mother Régina (née Levesque).

Loving father to Nelson Blakeney (Sylvie Gendron), Claude Jr. (Amanda Bélair). Adored step-father to Pierre Guitard (Wendy Yendall ) and Lynn D’Aoust (late Gaëtan). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Jessica, Claude, Alexandre, Christian Renaud and Miguel D’Aoust. Dear brother of Jean-Guy (Christine Crossland), Roger (Françoise Gervais), Raymonde Bougie (late Gérard), Pierrette Richer (late Oscar) and Adèle Cléroux (Denis).

He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Jean-Pierre Groulx a.k.a. "M. Milkshake" (Diane Rivet) as well as his sisters-in-law Lise Daley (Alonzo), Marie Tucker (David ) and Françoise Gray (Kenneth). He will be also missed by many nephews, nieces and friends.

Claude had a long and distinguished career of 37 years as a firefighter with the City of Ottawa. He was famously known as “Iron Jaw”. He shall be forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Claude’s memory to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
