It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Greydon Miles, unexpectedly at the age of 76.
Greydon was the firstborn son of the late Greydon Patterson Miles and Geraldine Keith. Greydon is survived by his wife Rita Pama Miles (Maita) and step-daughter Bianca, his only brother Andy Miles (wife Sharon), his son (first marriage) William Miles, his three grand-daughters; Malaika, Emily and Hazel, his great grandson Duke (Malaika's son), his nephew Paul Miles, and by his cousin Pat Simpson Price. Greydon was known as a very faithful and loyal friend and will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.
Greydon served in the military as a US Paratrooper in his early twenties and was deployed in Germany. After his military assignment, Greydon moved back to Canada and began working in the Federal Government, where he continued to work until his retirement in 2006 from Public Works.
After learning about Jehovah God, and a thorough study of His word the Bible, Greydon dedicated his life to Him in 1992 and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Greydon was a talented musician. He loved to play different musical instruments such as banjo, guitar and piano.
We miss Greydon and his unswerving zeal in the ministry. We cannot wait to see him again, being resurrected with "flesh fresher than in youth" (Job 33:25) under God's Kingdom.
A memorial service will be held virtually on Zoom.

Although I'd never got to meet Greydon in person, from the times I got to speak to him, I remember how encouraging he was when he talked about how he wasnt worried about his health problems, and even about death, because of his faith that Jehovah God will fulfill his promise that "he will will wipe out ever every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelations 21:4) Knowing that he is peacefully asleep in death, it is comforting to know that when he wakes up that it'll be like a blink of an eye for him, and hopefully Maita and I can be there to give him big hugs.

So sorry about Greydon. All through my growing up, the highlight of many summers was a visit from the Miles family and later living near Andy and getting to se both he and Greydon when he visited.
Deepest condolences Maita. Our prayers are with you. Let us know if you need any assistance. We are just a call away.
