It’s with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing Denis, 74, on Friday afternoon, July 30th at the Ottawa General Hospital. Denis was born in Clarence Creek and grew up in Ottawa, ON. Predeceased by his loving parents, Emelie and Lionel. Survived by his loving partner and best friend Dora, his daughter Johanne (Paul), his son Alain (Louise), his siblings Monique, Laurier (Suzanne) and Bernard, his grandson Tyrone (Theresa) and also special friends. He enjoyed a long fulfilled career with Bell Canada as an electrical trouble shooter, allowing him to retire at 57 which allowed him time to spend time doing things he loved, like cycling, curling, baseball, travelling and his love for cars and fish. Many thanks to the oncology team (Dr. MacDonald and Dr. Sundeep) and urology team (Dr. Warren) and also for all doctors and staff at the Ottawa General Hospital that were involved in his care. A memorial service will be held on August 7th at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation services at 1pm. Due to covid restrictions there will be no reception.

I knew Denis from Bell. He always had a smile and whenever you would ask him how he is, he would always say "Top Shape". What a great guy. I am so sorry for your loss.

A Super Duper Guy, a very dependable, Knowledgeable C.O Tech, loved working with him,but above all he was a superb ' backyard mechanic ' .A competent bicycle mechanic with sprinters legs, he was a strong and excellent cyclist. AU REVOIR MON AMI.

This is very sad news. Denis and I worked together in the early 70's when he was installing Xbar under Northern Electric and much later in our careers within the walls of 78 O'Connor. We shared our love for muscle cars especially the ones equipped with a 6 pack and the camaraderie of all at the various Bell functions. My sincere sympathies to his family.

Denis, you were one of the best people I have ever met. With your commitment to health and exercise we were all convinced you would be here forever. Cancer is a cruel disease. Deep sympathy to the family. We will miss you, and raise a toast at the curling club this season to your honour.
