Passed away on Monday March 22 at Le Pavillon (Embrun, Ontario). Estelle was the widow of Jean Maurice Brulé, a veteran of two wars.
Estelle was a longtime employee of External Affairs’ library in Ottawa. She was a proud citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario.
In retirement Estelle became an author, an avid painter and a designer. She donated many of her creations to her favorite charities.
Estelle will be missed by her many friends, nieces and nephews.
A special Thank You to Dr. Jacques Brunet and the entire staff at Le Pavillon for their exceptional care and kindness.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

With sincere sympathy to Estelle's family and friends on her passing. I worked with Estelle at the Library, External Affairs, and she would often drop by the Library after her retirement.

Our sympathy to her family, I do remember her while I did work for External Affairs from 1973 to 1993.

I got to know Estelle through my sister-in-law, Eileen Davison, in Ottawa. They both worked together in the Government and continued their friendship until Eileen passed away 3 years ago. During my 20 year visits, I got to know her very well and her life stories were fascinating. My last visit was with my niece to see her a few years ago when she was in the nursing home. I am sure she will be dearly missed.

I'm saddened to hear of Estelle's passing. I helped her move many times season to season and various art shows. We lost touch in recent years, but she was a talented lady and her imprint on the world will be felt for years to come.
I work with Estelle for a number of years at the External Affairs Library and often was in contact with her after she retired. Although I’m sad at her passing I am happy that she had a long and active life. Rest In Peace Estelle!
