Peacefully on July 14, 2019.  Born in Halifax, NS on August 31, 1930. Betty and Ron were married in Halifax, NS in 1951 and started their life of travel in 1954 with the Canadian Military and Foreign Affairs.  They travelled the world before retiring to Ottawa, and spending their winters in Florida. She was a proud member of Al-Anon for over 35years and within this fellowship, had developed friendships in many parts of the world. She was a very active member of the Military CWL in Ottawa for many years. She loved her family, she loved life, and she loved to travel. This, her final journey, will take her home to a peaceful place. Friends and family are invited to visit Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 2 to 5PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at Annunciation of the Lord Roman Catholic Church, 2414 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11AM. Interment and reception to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
