Ai Chau, 60, passed away on March 8th, 2021 from complications caused by a heart attack and cardiac arrest. Ai fought courageously through his illness for three weeks before he passed away surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Hội An, Vietnam on May 12, 1960, Ai came to Canada as a teenager and studied at the University of Ottawa. Graduating with a degree in Computer Mathematics, Ai spent the last two decades of his professional career with the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB), where his work contributed towards countless PMPRB reports.

Outside of work, Ai enjoyed spending time with his family, going on vacations, and long drives with his wife. Ai will forever be remembered for his selflessness, dependability, and always putting the needs of his family over his own.

Ai is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Minh, his son, An and his siblings, Ngoc, Nhung, Anh, Khanh, Tu, and Nga.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, services for Mr. Ai Tuan Chau are private, by invitation only.

I remember anh Ai as a quiet and gentle soul kind of man, though he was very quiet and his smile was contagious. He left rather too quickly, but I’m sure he will forever be loved and remember by those whose know him. To The Family, I am truly sorry for all your losses this year, please take care, one step at a time, one foot in front of another. Love, Be’
