On February 28, Ida found peace after a brave battle with cancer. Ida-spider was a breathtaking artist, seamstress, humourist, and naturalist. Ida was born in Bournemouth, and emigrated to Montreal in 1954, with then husband John. She had many friends and was passionate about her British heritage. She is survived by spouse, Allan Jones; daughters Sabrina and Geneviève; and grandchildren, Alex, Malcolm and Mikele, and many loving English relatives.

Dear Allan, Genevieve, Sabrina, Pam, Colleen, grandchildren and all the family. May you all take comfort in knowing how much joy Ida brought to others. Kate and I so enjoyed Ida's humour, wit, wide interests, and reminiscences of her childhood, especially during the war years in the south of England. We will miss her so very much and cherish her memory and friendship always. Love to all of you.

I was so very sad to hear that dear Ida has died. I'm going to miss chatting with her at Monarchist League events. She was a delightful friend and I had hoped to see her again once we are back to more normal. My deepest sympathy to Allan and the family. Jennifer Baniczky
