On February 28, Ida found peace after a brave battle with cancer. Ida-spider was a breathtaking artist, seamstress, humourist, and naturalist. Ida was born in Bournemouth, and emigrated to Montreal in 1954, with then husband John. She had many friends and was passionate about her British heritage. She is survived by spouse, Allan Jones; daughters Sabrina and Geneviève; and grandchildren, Alex, Malcolm and Mikele, and many loving English relatives.

Ida often told me that her annual highlight was attending our Christmas party - but the honour was always ours. She was always there for the special times of our family and we were blessed to have her energy and engagement. She will be missed terribly!

I am so glad I had a chance to know you, and wish you would have had a chance to meet my mother.
Rest In Peace. ???????????

Love you so much Grandma. I always think of you at work when the bells chime in the Peace Tower ❤️

Grandma was such a loving and genial figure in my life. I have so many fond memories of her and she was such an important person to me, which made saying goodbye to her all the more difficult. She was the best grandmother she could have possibly been, and I'm thankful for all the times I had with her.

Our sincerest condolences Sam, Kiki and family. Although we never had the opportunity to meet Ida, we were honoured to have participated in her lovely service as part of the family. May she Rest In Peace.

It is with great sadness that we wish to express our condolences regarding the passing of Ida. For many years during the 1980s and early 1990s Ida was our neighbour and good friend who lived across the street on Penfield Ave in Kanata.
Not only was Ida a good and cherished friend but we could always count on her for her support and positive outlook on life.
Unfortunately after her relocation to the other side of town we sort of lost touch somewhat which we will for ever regret. RIP Ida you will be missed but your memory will always be in our minds.
