Best Mom Ever :>)
I am so blessed to have…
I am so blessed to have known Mrs. Gurnett. I met her when I was 6 years old when she unknowingly gave me the best gift of all ... a best friend. A truly kind, caring and talented (those square-dancing outfits were amazing and the Yorkshire pudding!) woman who, along with the lovely Mr. Gurnett, showered me with generous love and acceptance throughout my childhood. I will forever be thankful to this bighearted couple and grateful for the memories.
Mr. Gurnett, I'm sending you hugs and strength.
Sandra, Brenda, Doug, Vanessa, Michael, Rowan, my heart is with you all.
Love, Sharry
As I mentioned in my post on Vanessa's page, Sandra, I will be forever grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Gurnett for bringing me so much contentment in my childhood, for their unconditional acceptance of me, for their constant love. That being said, my gratitude to the wise Norma for being the one who, without even knowing it at the time, gave me one of the best gifts I have ever received: YOU! I love you my best, best, best, best friend.

Dear Des, Sandra, Brenda, Doug and Extended Family,
I am certain each of you will miss Norma's voice and company for many special reasons. I will remember her for her inviting smile and for her friendship during our years on Cheryl Road and beyond.
Norma Gurnett ... one more star to light up the nights.
My sincerest sympathy,

Sending my love, strength and condolences to all. She was a truly beautiful woman inside and out. Always had a smile that lit up the room or patio, ;) Uncle Doug! She will live on in the lives she has touched, and from what I know that was many! Sending my love from Windsor

My deepest sympathies to you Des and all your family. It was always a pleasure to see Norma with her lovely smile when she was able to come to the dining room.

We share your grief. One of the best things arising from my posting to Ottawa in 1989 was meeting Norma and you and maintaining that friendship over the years. The joy she brought into people's lives is/was evident. She will be missed. For the whole family, there will come a time when the memory of Norma will bring a smile to your faces as opposed to tears to your eyes. It takes time and lots of mutual support and love.
Such an amazing grandma, Love you!
