Passed suddenly on October 24, 2020 at Gatineau Hospital at 61 years of age. Beloved husband of Michele Daigneault. Loving father of Pascal and Amélie. Alain’s brothers Benoit (Kathleen) and Denis survive him. He had a special bond with cousin Bri Brunelle. He is predeceased by his father Guy and mother Leona.
Alain joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1977 and retired in 2018. Proud member of the 22 Regiment and Dental Corp. He proudly served in Afghanistan. In 2018, Alain joined Canada Corrections Department of Health. Alain served as a Trainer for the 2820 Chutes Chaudière; he was a Master Instructor for St. John’s Ambulance.
Due to government-imposed restrictions related to COVID-19, attendance at the visitation, funeral service and interment in the National Military Cemetery will be restricted to a limited number of individuals, personally invited by the family.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Canada.
