It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marissa Elaine Page on October 6, 2020 at age 26.  Cherished daughter of Danny Page and Franca Caluori, sister to Michael Page (Emily). She will be sadly missed by her grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Marissa will be remembered for her free spirit, her love of horses and riding, and her spunky dog, Milou.  She was creative, intelligent, fearless, and most at peace outdoors in nature.  Taken away too soon; lucky are those to have crossed paths with her.  Private memorial service will be held for family members.  If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in honour of Marissa to Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa would be appreciated.

Marissa, I am heartbroken to learn this sad, sad news. You were my best friend throughout most of our childhood and high school years. So many ‘firsts’ we experienced in life together. You were one of the most loyal friends I’ve ever known. I remember the days you used to set up obstacles in your backyard and you had me jumping over them on your stick horses. Whether it was playing with your hamsters, my birds, or talking about your horses we both shared our deep love for animals. She was so funny and adventurous. So many other memories I will forever hold so dearly. One of the most beautiful, patient and caring families, Franca, Danny and Michael I am so so sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you. She was unique in every sense, it was never a dull moment to say the least. Taken way too soon. I will never forget you Marissa. Rest In Peace beautiful.

Franka and Danny, I am so sorry for your immense loss.

I met Marissa the first and same day that I had ever ridden a horse, at a Lower Saxony Summer Camp when we were so little. From that day on I gained an incredible friend to share the beauty and pain of growing up with. We both migrated to Maple Crest Stables, where she evolved into a passionate and powerful athlete. A remarkably driven and talented teammate, Marissa invigorated everyone around her. I am blessed with so many beautiful memories, and am privileged to have joined her in such unimaginable adventures. I don't believe anybody else in the whole wide world could have made me laugh the way she did, even while we were freezing, wet, exhausted, and sleeping on an unmucked stinky horse trailer floor (because we didn't listen to the grownups and put our tent up before it started pouring rain).

MP, you are in my heart and thoughts forever, thank you for being by my side for those years that you made so full.

Franka and Danny, I am so sorry for your immense loss. Marissa, or better known as MP at Maplecrest Stables, was a talented athlete and had the most contagious smile and a wonderful sense of humour. Not one day went by that she didn’t have me laughing. Whether it was in a lesson, cleaning or hanging out in the barn, stuck in mud helping me look for my car keys, or on trail rides. I feel truly blessed to have had her as a student and part of the team. MP you will be greatly missed. Our world has lost a kind, and courageous soul.
