Pierre (Pete) Verdon passed away peacefully at home on October 12th, 2020. He leaves behind his loving daughter Roxanne Laporte, son in law Marty Laporte, grand daughters Jessica and Tracey-Anne Laporte, loving partner and friend Cheryl Mifflen, brother Ron Verdon and sisters Bea Lajeuness, Lorraine MacDonald, Claudette Delorme (Rick), and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Claire Verdon in 2005, his oldest daughter Joanne Verdon in April 2020, and his mother Alice Desabrais in 2007. Everyone who knew Pierre knew he was a great man, a Mr fix it, a jokester, a caring father, partner and friend. He loved taking trips, fishing, and fixing/tinkering with things. His motto was "Why replace it if it still works or can be fixed?!"  He also had a mischievous side. Anyone who knew him will remember his amazing smirk. He will be sadly missed by so many. Due to Covid, a private memorial service will take place at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave). In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to Parkinson Canada.

Roxanne, Marty, Tracey-Anne and Jessica... although our words can't express the sadness that you must be living through, please remember that our thoughts and prayers are with you during these times. We wish you strength and courage. And please know that even if we can't be with you in person, we are with you in spirit. Be well.

My dear friend Pete, I’ll miss your smiling joking face. Your sense of whimsy in everything around you. I enjoyed your company so much, you made everyone around you welcome including me.
The wink in your eyes and cheeky face.
But I wish I’d had more time with you.
You made my dearest friend Cheryl, your life friend and loving partner so happy in your later years. The love and caring you had for each other was so unique and beautifully warm. An inspiration of true love.
She will miss you beyond and I will miss you too..
Thanks for sharing all the joys.
RIP Pete .. you were very much loved.
