Peacefully on October 14, 2020 at the age of 88. He was preceded by his wife and soulmate, Margaret, who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his daughter Micheline (Vitus), his son Jonathan (Stefanie), and grandsons Christian and Aidan. He was a dear brother to Henry (Linda), Adeline (Robert), and Christine (David). He was born in Northern China in the seaport city of Tianjin and was educated in Shanghai and London. George received a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) at Imperial College London, as well as the Diploma of Imperial College. He was always proud of his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. After a rewarding career at the National Research Council, he enjoyed his retirement playing bridge, investing in the stock market, and traveling the world with his wife and friends. George loved to regale his family, friends, and acquaintances with humorous and interesting stories of his many life experiences. He will be sadly missed by his children and grandchildren, his siblings, and his many friends.
