It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Priscilla Darlene Konecsni (Dotty) of Ottawa, Ontario on September 18, 2020.

Born October 22, 1951 in Little Rock Arkansas, Dotty was the daughter of the late Lona Faye Chambers and Dean Chambers of Jacksonville, Florida.

She is survived by her husband Wade of 41 years, two daughters Kim and Amanda and Amanda's husband Tyler, two sisters Suzi of Edmond, OK and Micha of Floyd, Virginia , and five  grandchildren Avery, Zoe (late), Hudson, Knox and Walker.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Beechwood Cemetery.  A grave site service will be conducted at 11:00 AM at the National Military Cemetery of Canada at Beechwood.

Due to the travel and social gathering COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held.  These limitations pain the immediate family deeply as they appreciate the fact that Dotty had many friends and relatives who would like to say their final farewell.  Family will receive attendees from 09:30 AM until 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada, 20 Erb St W, Suite 801, Waterloo, ON N2L 1T2, https://www.huntingtonsociety.ca/donate/.

I am sending prayers to the family, Dotty was a special little girl growing up in Oklahoma. She reminds me so much of Aunt Elsie.

Amanda ❤️ my heart hurts SO much for you guys. I am sure it’s overload right now but I just have to let you know you are very much in our thoughts and prayers. Big hugs your way m’dear and to Kim and your dear dad as well. Dotty was an angel on earth! I have so many fond memories as a child hanging out at your house and of course the later years of seeing her at Manotick crew parties...she would always hold my hand and say “I love you, you know that?” And smile. A beautiful, remarkable, kind, sweet soul. We can learn so much from her still. I am here if you ever want to chat XO

Kim and Amanda, you both know how close your mom and I were, and you know how much we loved each other. I walked her to her first day of school and, after helping teach her to drive, I pretty much gave her my car keys for her senior year. There were many fun years in between, from roller skating to drive in movies. She loved the scary ones! She loved her home made tacos and fried okra and we always had fun together in the kitchen, except doing the dishes!
I watched her grow into a beautiful young woman inside and out, and I flew across the country to see her marry your dad. Wade, my Dotty could not have chosen a better man for her life partner. Thank you for loving her and taking such good care of her.
She loved both of you so very much and was so proud of the women you have become, as I am. She loved those babies and told me so each time we talked and we laughed at the funny things she watched them do. But most of all she loved seeing you both with your children.
Even with the physical distance between us, we found ways to be together. I will miss our family gatherings, trips and sharing stories. Dotty was and is a very important part of our family and she has a large portion of my heart and my memories. I will love and miss her for the rest of my life. I love all you and my heart be with you for her service.
