Dolores passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Glace Bay, NS, Dolores is predeceased by her parents James and Elsie Donovan, sister Shirley and brother Tim. Dolores is survived by her soul-mate and loving husband of 58 years, Albert (aka Sam), son John (Lori), daughter Shannon (Marc), grandchildren Danika, Dillon (Hannah), Jeniece and great granddaughters Cali and Ella, sisters Theresa and Helen Rose, brothers Jack, Pat, Wishie, Normie, her Sisters-in-law Denise, Rita (Emilio), Helen (Selby) and many nieces, nephews.
Whether Dolores was sitting around the campfire, on the beach, playing a round of golf, dancing at the socials and banquets, she cherished being with family and friends more than anything else. The family would like to thank her two dear friends Dale St. Arnaud and Sonia Scott for the love and support provided over the years and Lynn Commanda for bringing joy to the bingo table and always making Dolores smile.
As a devoted wife, mother and nanny, Dolores has moved on to devote her next journey to be with God.
Thank you for the kindness, compassion, care and support of Chapel Hill Retirement Residence, Tammy at LHIN, Tiffany at Elisabeth Bruyère, Geriatic Psychiatry, the staff on 8W and 6W at the Ottawa General Hospital and the PCU at Elisabeth Bruyère. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sam, Shannon, Marc and family, at this very difficult time.
I will miss the walks, the laughter, and the talks Dolores and shared, as well as the little hits she' d give me when making fun of her.
Great sport, great person, who will be missed for years to come.
May she look down on us and guide us through this dark time.
Rest in peace Dolores.

Loved playing golf with Dolores. She always kept me calm (less nervous) when I started playing golf at Hylands.
