It is with deep sorrow, that we announce Gerry passed away, at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Friday, August 14, 2020; at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Wendy Green (nee Hancock). Loving father of Kathy (Marty) and Steve (Sue). Proud grandfather of Josee (Brandon) and Zachary and great-grandfather of Aliza. Survived by his brother Bryan (Flo) and brother-in-law Dean (Diana). Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. Son of the late George and Jean Green. Gerry will be remembered especially for his sense of humor and his joie de vivre.
Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa). Due to circumstances created by COVID-19, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Please check Beechwood’s webpage regularly for updated service details. Interment with Military Honours will take place in the National Military Cemetery located at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to make a donation in Gerry’s memory, may do so to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation – Cancer Research or the Epiphany Anglican Church, Ogilvie Road.
