It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald DeVere Frank on March 22, 2020 at the age of 80.  He passed away with loved ones by his side after a lengthy illness which he fought very courageously.

Survived by his loving wife Dianne (Dubue) Duggan, daughter Natasha Clyde (Ian), his son the late Michel Frank, stepdaughter Kim Duggan and stepson Shawn Duggan (Julie). Grandchildren, Avery, Simone and Garett Clyde, Amanda and Brittany (Jon) and Thomas.  Great Grandchildren, Aydin and Addison.

Predeceased by his parents Helen Mae (Reading) and Reuben Elliott Frank, siblings Raymond (Rovine), Harold (Anne), Gordon (Barbara) and Shirley. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, friends and neighbours.

Don proudly served 32 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and 8 years with CSIS. He had a passion for history and a fondness for CBC talk radio, classical music, fine aged red wine and travelling the globe with the love of his life by his side.

We are very grateful to Dr. Jennifer Brodeur and the palliative team.  We thank you for your dedication and excellent care over the past year. It was quite a journey for all of us.

Special thanks to the professional and caring staff of nurses and PSWs at the Maplewood Retirement Community Home.  Thank you for your endearing kindness and support that made our loved one very comfortable.

He has gone to a better place where he is no longer in pain or anguish.

We will have a celebration of Donald’s life, to be announced at a later date.
